I agree that Destiny needs more focus on PvE, and less on PvP. When this game was first announced, it was pitched to the gaming public as a MMORPG with FPS gameplay. While I enjoyed the beta, it really does feel no different that playing 4 player coop in halo. Hopefully the final rollout surprises us all.
