Debunked: Bungie has confirmed the moon is not in fact infected by hive it's infected by rats because we all know the moon is made of cheese.

Wizards don't wear dresses, they wear robes. :p While I agree the moon is actually infested with rats, they mutated and evolved so that they could annihilate their sworn enemies, no not guardians, but cats. So all guardians do not need to fear the Hive, their real enemies are cats!
