Destiny withdrawal support group
For anyone who is already suffering from destiny withdrawal. This is an open group and we support all people with their varrying levels of addiction.
Edit #1 due to the taken king expansion, the form post has been re opened to help all new players and veteran deal with their addictions

7 RepliesI woke up in a stupor at 1800 hrs today... I don't know at what point I had fallen into darkness, but I could tell something wasn't right. I looked up and saw a blue screen on my television. The soft white glimmer from my Xbox was gone. The sound of the wind blowing across the barren wasteland of Old Russia was no more. I quickly grabbed my controller and turned on my system. I clicked on "Destiny Beta", ignoring all reason and hoping that this was all a bad dream. To my surprise, the game loaded, and I was greeted by the wonderful sound of Destiny's main theme. I excitedly pressed "A" repeatedly to get to my character screen and behold my battle-hardened Titan. Could not connect to the character server. I knew it was all over. In one instant moment, I knew that my Sunday had changed forever. I would be playing Titanfall, haunted by the memories of my 4 day adventure into the wonderful and mysterious world of Destiny. Now, I must be continuously taunted and reminded of my lost love every time I get into a "Titan"... These are not true Titans... My Titan died with the Destiny Beta.

I just go to the beta "server is down " screen just to hear the music now ....it's getting radical

Hello fellow Guardians.... My name is McKraken... Kutty_McKraken, and I'd just like to say DEATH TO ALL FALLEN SCUMBAGS! Nothing makes me feel better than showing some mutant darkness trash, just how hot his special place in HELL truly is! But not before my beautiful, fine tuned Auto Rifle cracks his freakin' head wide open! Only to show him, just how small his brain had to be, to think he'd survive one day against me! But unfortunately, I logged in to do my job as usual and it said my mission is complete with the Destiny Beta.... Mission complete?.... Mission complete?..!!... Hell, I was just gettin' started!... It felt cruel to process the thought that it was over. Now I don't know what to do with my adult life... Besides download the Bungie app for my android and watch YouTube videos of other fellow Guardians doing their job. Which reminds me of doing mine. Not only can I not bring myself to delete the Beta from my PS4, but I occasionally attempt to login just hoping that maybe somebody needs some killin'... Is that normal?... Ya know, I feel almost good enough to eat now, this little thread is great!.... Thanks 4 listening... -McKraken

2 RepliesI honestly don't want to play any of my other games on my Xbox One. I've attempted them... just does not feel right. I long for 9th September to be here quicker. This is horrible.

Ever since the beta I always think of playing Destiny as a way to pass the time. Then I come to the sad conclusion that the beta is done. Now I don't know what to do to pass the wait till September 9th. I need help.

Don't know how I'm going to make it until September. Ever since the beta ended I haven't been able to play anything but Minecraft and only for time periods of less than 30 minutes. Some of my friends who didn't play the beta have been kiking me asking where I've been and I'm just like "You can't even begin to understand e_o"

Hello, my name is Wolf. I'm a level 8 Hunter as of the beta, and...I am current suffering from DWS (Destiny withdrawal syndrome). I spent some time stringing together a video for friends about Destiny but now that I finished. The symptoms are getting worse, I have been watching Destiny videos, listening to Destiny sound tracks, reading forums of Destiny, setting my cells wallpaper to Destiny. This time of 41 days...it feels like an eternity for now. But have strength fellow guardians, we will prevail with the power of light.

I go through every day thinking of the release date, I look at other games and laugh, because they are not destiny. I binge eat and watch Netflix, Hulu, and crunchyroll. I attempted to go outside and tried to call my ghost so I could summon my sparrow, he did not come. I need help. Or destiny. Whichever comes first

I'm josh and I start up the beta just to hear the music... I also changed my gamertag of six years to go with my character in destiny. Icy Guardian is my new gamertag. Sept can't come fast enough!

Working thru this period; Hola all, names Weenaso and I'm in withdrawal of Destiny, I can't get the story, the game, the whole Grandeur of it all outta my system. . . I spend any and all breaks I can find at work you tubing videos reminiscing on locations and Guardians I've come across thinking of the loot chests I've found and feverishly waiting to use the higher level equipment I have waiting for me in my vault but sadly it's gonna have to wait, I have this awesomely equipped entertainment center and I just can't bring myself to even turn it on, I sit there aimlessly staring at it, I have a good library there's Black Flag in my X1 and my Ghosts right there in front staring at me but all I feel is emptiness towards them, there's no substance to them no feelings of accomplished completion in doing anything in them just uunngh their there. . . . . we have a clan war coming up and my crew needs me. . . . but really my heart and spirit ain't in it, guess I really just needed to let this out thanks guys or gals for letting me vent this it's nice to have people around that actually understand thanks ya'll

I don't know what to do with my time anymore. Every other game I own just feels lacking. I tried to sate my appetite for multiplayer action with my usual multiplayer shooters: Battlefield 3 and some Team Fortress 2. No cigar. I tried to compensate my need for looting with some Borderlands, but it just doesn't have the same allure as destiny. Why does 9/9 have to be so far away? :(

I followed it all the way to today and when... Uh... I "tried" the beta I was hooked. I loved it the moment my ghost brought me back from the dead all the way to the close of the servers. But.... When it was gone... Is gone.... I'm lost I don't know what to do for a month @-@ please what do I do?!
