My network would not be able to handle more than 16 people. It's can't even handle 16. I'm not saying lower anything just because I have shitty internet, but just that I'd be screwed out of game because of this.

Unfortunately I suffer from the same - crap DSL that's 5mb (3.2-3.5 in reality), I play coop XB360 with my brother in another state and he has to host or it's just an ugly time for all. I had a lot of connectivity issues in the Beta and chalked it up to server bandwidth, plus I was one of the victims of the 'waiting to join' test they did. I'd sell your left one to upgrade my internet, until my little ISP upgrades to fiber in November that's the best speed I can get. That said, I do think a lot of the connectivity issues will be fixed on or soon after release.

I'm unsure your Internet connection is the bottleneck in terms of # of on-screen players, but am sorry to hear you're having problems. This limit may be another instance of backwards-compatibility to older consoles. Typically more characters in an area is only a tax on the end-point hardware, specifically in terms of GPU. Internet connection doesn't matter as much since it's only lightweight code, not entire images, going from server to client and back...you'll see diminishing returns pretty quickly on increased bandwidth. The additional horsepower of the XBox One and especially the PS4 should be able to accommodate much more character density, however, especially when compared to older consoles. I'm curious. What console are you playing on?

Thats messed up to see that some ppl struggle with connections.. You would most certainly have more upcomming problems once the game hits and even more people will join in free roam/raids and so forth.. Hope you can find a possibility to upgrade your network becuase this game is so awesome everyone should be able to enjoy it
