Size of the game (with source)

All right guys, I have been waiting to post this, but last night DeeJ confirmed, that there will be 1 explorable location per planet and this basically also confirmed, that the following source is realible: http://destinydb.info/activities (edit: the creator of the website asked me to write that the info is from 30.June) [u][b]I browsed this website a lot and realized how endgame content is going to work. To sum it up:[/b][/u] [b]Before you read on: this may or may not be how the final product is going to look like. It is just a speculation based on the website mentioned above. I do not want to convince you about anything, but I'm sure if you browse that site you will come to a similar conclusion. Beware, this may contain spoilers!!! [/b] - 4 explorable locations (Earth, Moon, Mars, Venus) - 6 strikes (1 Earth, 1 Moon, 2 Mars, 2 Venus. However one of the Mars strike is PS exclusive.) - 1 raid (The Vault of Glass) - 16 pvp maps It's already been told, that we are going to hit lvl 20 quickly. So what happens after this? We are going to have the possibility to run a random strike (accessible from the orbit) on a higher level: -lvl18 -lvl20 -lvl22 -lvl24 For example the Devil's Lair is going to be there on those difficulties. But how can you achieve a level over 20? It is well documented, that you can get to lvl 20 by collecting XP. In order to gain additional levels, you need to obtain gear with [b]"light stat" [/b] . Light gives you additional level. So, what you are going to do, when you hit 20? You will go to lvl 20 strikes to get gear with light. I suspect, that the strikes and rewards will be scaled, so that you have to spend a lot of time on a level in order to get access to the next one. What happens, when you hit lvl 24 and finished farming all the high level strikes? [b]You go to weekly strikes[/b] This means, that every week there is going to be a strike on an even higher level. -lvl24 -lvl26 -lvl28 For example Devil's Lair is going to be this strike from 09.sept. - 16.sept. And so on. This mode is called: [b]Nightfall[/b] After you cleared all the weekly strikes you go to the Vault of Glass. It will be on lvl27, lvl31 and lvl31. EDIT_1: I also found something called "Activity Power" associated to every activity on that website. I think it's the true scale of difficulty of each activity. For example: lvl 8 - Devil's Lair = Activity Power 0,37 lvl 20 - Devil's Lair = Activity Power 8 lvl 24 - Devil's Lair = Activity Power 53 lvl 28 - Devil's Lair = Activity Power 98 lvl 31 - Vault of Glass = Activity Power 132 This will take time Guardians!   • Not gonna lie this is pretty disappointing, the territories are big but all the concept art revealed just kind of seems like they have all this content available and are cutting it out from the final release. Oh well I would have waited to get the expansion pass after launch had I known this but I don't regret it yet... We'll see.

        Just was looking weapon breakdown is ridiculous. Primary: 161 primary weapons (after you remove engrams) 35 are common 20 are uncommon 56 are rare 38 legendary And only 12 are exotic! This is pretty much a load of crap.. Secondary: 112 after you remove engrams 23 common 15 uncommon 42 rare 27 legendary Only 5 exotic Heavy weapons: 14 common after engrams removed. 10 uncommon 29 rare 18 legendary Only 4 exotic I find this breakdown outrageous. You could fit every single exotic weapon in your vault! It should not be like this!

        • I think we will go to different universes in later expansions but we will most likely get patches that will add new things to do like raids and new strikes after the vault of glass has been out for some time. Just my opinion..... nothing I have seen on this

          • Hell yeah 16 MP levels. Figured there was going to be a lot if they gave us 4 in the beta. I thought I saw an outline for 3 other planets and another small outline next to the crucible. I like the high level strikes should give a good challenge

                • Kinda makes me wanna go back to pc mmos :/ with multiple worlds and 99% is explorable but what can you do consoles cant handle it -.-

                • Sounds good so far but they need monthly special events with missions that drop an item that can be traded for special event rare gear. I guess what I'm suggesting is that Bungie take a look at Sega's PSO2 in Japan what they do with very little content is amazing. If they take some cues and apply it to Destiny they could make this game epic. But I'm glad they realize that they need to keep us engaged on the PvE side of things but they can do much more. PSO2 has no PvP yet it keeps you engaged. Maybe add weapons and hybrid subclasses like half warlock half hunter. Have new weapons that can be only wielded by the hybrid subclasses. Suggestions to keep the game fresh and people playing it long term.

                • My first thought was, "that's all?" but the more I think about it that is a pretty decent amount of stuff to do in the original retail version. I think I've put over 17 hours into the beta, of course a lot of that is doing the same thing over and over again, but I can turn it on right now and still have fun. I assume Earth will get more locations later if Old Russia is the only one at launch. Hoping the other planets/areas are larger by at least 2x, too. Explore is literally a game mode so there needs to be more to explore. Speaking of exploring... I really hope they include a map of some kind on each area. What kind of explorer doesn't make a map as he goes? I believe Deej said the beta is about 10% of the game, so that is encouraging. I don't usually buy expansions/DLC anymore. I used to buy the new maps for the Halo games and none of my friends would so I would end up never playing them, same with Borderlands. Not as big of deal here since I'm fine playing this on my own or with randoms, but DLC never feels worth the price tag in my fairly limited experience with it. The original game needs to have a lot more than the beta has shown, and it sounds like it will. Also, I'd like to see the Tower revamped, it feels so boring/bland and pointless, like nothing is going on. Other MMO/RPG games have towns that at least feel a little alive.

                  • There are two strikes on Earth, Devil's Lair and Refinery. Not only that, but the database that the websites 'destinydb.com' and 'destinydb.info' parsed their data from, is incomplete. /end thread

                    • Firstly that site does have some info wrong and is not an official site of bungie. So i'm not trusting it. Secondly please prove that deej confirmed. because for some reason you have no problem confirming a site based on speculation but where the real proof is required you fall short.

                    • Likely Wrong. I started a new character and i noticed something within the destination screen. The moon wasn't available...but there was an outline for its existence. Then...I noticed several other outlines above and around earth. There are several planets altogether. Can someone count them pls?

                        • I'm guessing they are going the MMO route where they start off small and get bigger with time. I'm guessing all who are mad never played an MMO. Updates will keep this going hopefully there will be more places, planets (I saw Jupiter in Glimmer), strikes and raids in the future. I hope to see what bungie does to make this a 10 year game.

                            Let's not forget the story either, which if what the one mission on the moon showed us, plus all the areas people have glitches into, this will still be epic. Also, I think it's worth noting that deej specifically said "in the first version of the game." To put this into perspective, destiny is an online world stored mostly within bungie's own servers, because of this they can create and release a "new version" right under our noses without so much as a patch update, let alone utilizing a dlc. Take them unlocking and locking the moon for example, it didn't require any download on our end, it just happened. In other words, bungie can make changes to our game version without us even being aware of it. Deej loves his clever wordplay after all. I could be wrong of course, but either way, I know bungie will make sure we love this game. Don't worry so much guys! 😊

                            • Yeah I think this is missing a lot of stuff. Kings watch is missing along with a few vaults on earth. Hopefully this info is all wrong and a lot is just place holders.!

                              • I think its a safe bet to say: until sept none of you really has a clue what will be here and what wont. THIS IS A BETA! A free beta at that. Its not here for your enjoyment. Its here so that Bungie can make sure when the game launches its not a complete fail like Diablo III, SimCity, or Defiance. (Yes there are many others too, didnt feel like listing them all, you get the point) Stop worrying about the content people, when the game comes out there will be plenty to do im sure.

                                • Meh. I was expecting the max level cap to be level 50, but thinking that since the skill trees work differently, they didn't need to put in more levels.
