HIIIIIIIILARIOUS. You praise this ripoff and bash Titanfall in the same post. I don't hate or dislike this game, it's great. However, the fact is Bungie isn't doing anything that hasn't been done before. This is basically Borderlands on a larger scale. You say "If you don't like it.... It's because you can't comprehend quality when you've lived a life of everything less than that." Well it's my opinion that if you don't like Titanfall, that's the reason. Mostly though, you dislike it because you're bad at it. Titanfall may seem bare bones if you're part of the new FPS crowd, where you need a hundred guns and unlocks to stay interested. For the skilled FPS player who's only interested in placing his skill against another player to see who's better, Titanfall is perfect. It has one weapon for each role, nothing else is needed. The problem with Titanfall is the skill cap is too high and most people don't want to work to get good. Bungie is working around that by making the turn and run speed incredibly slow so casuals, like you OP, can feel like they're good when it's actually the game coddling them. In this game, you start reloading and then sprint, and the mag you just took out is magically put back into the weapon and you have to remove it again. What a joke. It's not 2002 anymore, Bungie. Learn to make games already. You can start by looking at Titanfall and copying everything they did. Then make your Borderlands ripoff based on that.

  • You're comparing a full game with full DLC and updates to a Beta. TF in its complete form didn't show the potential of Destiny in its Beta form. I predict Destiny far outstripping Titanfall (which I enjoyed...but didn't love).

First of all, if you think the game mechanics will change drastically from now to release, you're mistaken. It's safe to say we've seen exactly what the game will be like, it'll just have more content. The reload is broken by design. Ledge grab would already be in the game if it were going to be in the game. Turn speed is the way it is because they want teamwork to be more important than talent. Seeing game mechanics that limit player skill in order to lessen the advantage that said skill gives you over an opponent causes me to lose a lot of respect for any franchise. The point I'm trying to make is that you and the OP can't see TF in it's "complete form", because that requires talent or hours of practice to develop the skill to do so. TF didn't revolutionize the genre, it took it back to it's roots of a very few weapons with very clear roles that they fill better than any of the other weapons. If you're the kind of guy who doesn't really like and isn't very good at FPS games, TF may seem lacking. If all you want is an arena in which to test who is the fastest and most accurate, TF is the best thing since Unreal Tournament. You look at what TF presents and you don't think "Wow this game has everything I need to accomplish any task and very little of the distracting fluff of more recent, casual FPS games." You instead think "There's not enough things to unlock and level up so there's nothing to distract me from noticing that I need improvement at this particular activity." The fact is most people aren't very good at FPS and don't like TF as a result. Thank you thumbsticks. Every recent FPS game (Halo, COD, BF) have had features designed to limit player skill with game mechanics and keep bads occupied with things to unlock or level up. Due to this, everyone has been using easy, broken game mechanics to "succeed" in their quest to "level up". TF has none of that, and it's almost perfectly balanced due to it. The only problem TF has is the majority of the population just aren't talented or patient enough to enjoy it for what it is. I'm hoping that the PVE raids in this game are numerous and difficult, because the PVP portion of this game is a joke. Completely tailored to the casuals and campers. A radar that shows players moving? OHK specials that build up over time? Come on now... The entire reason I'll get this game is because it's a Borderlands rip-off with a futuristic sci-fi spin. If they don't get the raids right, and have easy mode borderlands style raids that require more bullets than strategy, I'll be severely disappointed.

How very condescending and douchey elitist of you. Sorry I'm a 45yo career military professional. My "talents" such as they are, suit me well in RL. I play games to relax, not to listen to pretentious asses compare their l33t sk33lz to the useless masses. You loved TF, I get it. For me, and apparently many others once the mech novelty wore off, it was just another shooter. Played it had some fun. Moved on. Instead of spewing your tripe here (a Destiny fan board) perhaps you'd feel more at home on the TF IGN board. I can see we'll have agree to disagree here, chief.

  • I could tell by your post that you were old and lacked reflexes. I take words like condescending elitist as a compliment, because they essentially are. If you were half as successful and intelligent as I am, you'd be a condescending, douchey elitist too. Why aren't you calling out the OP for being a condescending, douchey elitist? My post was simply a reflection of his. The other side of the coin, if you will. You and the masses didn't like TF because you're old and slow. That's why you'll love this game. Because it's old and slow. It's halo mixed with borderlands. Nothing new, very slow paced. It should be an enjoyable co-op experience. I can't wait for release.

  • Wow, truly a child in form and manner. Touched a nerve? Old? I think not. Still fit, fast enough, experienced, and not foolish enough to say too much stupid shite on an on-line forum about video games... Still...guess when you move out of Mom's basement, pull your big boy (girl?) pants on and step into the real world there's hope you'll see taking oneself so seriously is more a hindrance than a boon.

As you previously stated, we'll have to agree to disagree. I believe that if you don't take yourself seriously, you can't expect anyone else to. You owe it to yourself, as a member of one of the most intelligent species on this planet, to take yourself and by proxy everything you do seriously.
