Im pretty sure Arc damage effects shields in Iron Banner faster but I know for certain im getting headshot damage on shields in PVP because they show up yellow and are 1.5x of body shots even when a person has shields.

I agree with him - all headshots count for the headshot multiplier in Crucible. I've read here (though don't know what evidence there was behind it) that resistance stats affect the health bar and shield bar in different ways though. Not sure how this works...

It is even more complicated by the multipliers. What's kind of interesting is that Sniper Rifles (in my usage anyway) are a guaranteed kill with 2 body shots (no headshot multiplier), which is fairly similar to the shotgun unless you are in melee range. Despite shotguns having much higher impact (again, with no headshot multipliers).

Shotguns have very bad range. Their high damage drops quick and they have spread.
