No, because Mendicant Bias tells John that he's sending him to the Forerunners.

  • No. The only media set after Halo 3 is: - Glasslands - The Thursday War - Mortal Dictata - The 'modern' segments of Primordium - Spartan Assault - The Return and From The Office in Evolutions Pretty much everything else is either Human-Covenant war era, or Ancient era.

  • I stand corrected then, as per usual I defer to you or lord of admirals because y'all know what you're talking about and I don't.

  • When does he ever meet Mendicant Bias? (Just letting you know I'm not arguing or anything I'm legitimately curious because I really like Halo lore)

  • Halo 3's Terminals. Over the course of the game, Mendicant Bias is gradually reconstructing himself when the fragment inside the Keyship is reunited with his fragment on the Ark. As each Terminal redirects, you get cryptic and broken messages until the end of the game where the final transcript is of Mendicant Bias directly addressing John - he says that he seeks atonement, will have the Forerunners know that he has changed, will do all that he can to keep John safe, and that John will be his instrument through which he accomplishes his redemption. This is how the Dawn ends up going to Requiem. Mendicant redirects the portal at the last minute which is what ends up splitting the ship in two.

what if the traveler was a lost precursor artifact? and the flood was actually created by some corrupt, super powerful precursors (now called the darkness) Ignore the fact that destiny is also set on earth. would it make a good story?

  • If anything, the Precursors would be the Darkness... Look, there is no connection between Halo and Destiny. There may be references and similarities in some areas because that's just what Bungie does, but they are two completely separate universes - just as Halo and Marathon had many similarities and references between them, but we're not the same universe.

it's called fanfiction. I was simply putting that hypothetical scenario and asking you for your opinion IF that was "real"
