Great update! I love the way the new maps sound. Is it just me, or are there too many indoor maps in Halo 3? I don't listen to Podcasts. Sorry. I find them too boring (not just yours, but in general). I just can't sit at a computer (or listen on an IPod) for an hour without seeing something. I'd give anything to have one of those Battle Rifles (or that Porsche Boxster in the one pic).

what's wrong with melee, i find it great, 30 mins ago i was playing team king versing 3 other people and won becuase of it 150 to 13! anyways the weapons are awesome, maybe they're gonna pick up the halo movie again! can't wait!!! oh and yeah i think prple reign does sound similar to midship but i'd like one like the one in halo: ce where there's two ships, i also think that the massive map will be like valhalla combined iwth coagulation and possibly standoff or burial mounds!

I hope the battle rifle is going to be fixed in this update aswell, the fact that I have to lead my target at 10 feet away is ludicrous. Not to mention the terrible hit detection on this game and the rediculous hit box on the head with the sniper.

And what about the announcer voice volume for foreign customers, will you fix it in the future? The major part of the european customers are affected, it's nearly impossible to hear the announcer during matchmaking, the voice volume is extremely low. Please, fix the bugs instead of creating new maps!!.

Dang I'd love to get some of those life sized weapons...if I could I'd get a Carbine, Energy Sword, Beam Rifle, Plasma Grenades...pretty much all the Covanant weapons. They should make a real life Mongoose.

Alright this is the last time ill express my opinion on this matter..........Bungie will you please please please get someone to come up with the new map layouts and such that ISN'T obsessed with Big maps? Yes i know you said that one of the maps is between medium and small but if you compare that wsi9ze in halo 3 form to halo 2 form it would be like saying its somewhere between medium and huge....the only actual small map on Halo 3 is guardian which isn't exactly petite another of the smaller maps is Epitaph.......lets just say that 89 percent of the games i get on epitaph get vetoed i have yet to meet a person who has said oh i love epitaph....hell i haven't even had anyone say oh epitaph is ok kinda.....every person says the same thing Epitaph is Epi-blam!- i personally think you should just take it out like you did with backwash i happened to love backwash but the lag on 360 was definitely a good reason to remove it from matchmaking........anyways can you at least make a map pack with like maps that consist of remakes(and no i dont mean a remake like you supposedly remade Lockout....although now it seems to me your saying it was never meant to be like lockout) of Midship,warlock/wizard,Chill Out,Sanctuary and finally an exact replica of Lockout...heck it would be great if you would make the maps all exactly the same just with halo 3 graphics......anyways for all the people that are going to post hate comments or send me hate messages save your time i don't care if you disagree......Bungie don't think that i think your not listening to your community you are for the most part i know a good majority of people love all the big maps with vehicles and such but you also have to remember that there is a good majority of the Halo population that love competitive play and desperately want more arena maps please just listen to that population i mean if the people who don't like those maps don't buy them it wont matter i mean you dont have to make them mandatory for matchmaking you could just keep them like you have the heroic pack right now where if you meet a team who has the new maps and your team has the new maps then you have a chance of playing those maps in any play list .....i can probably guarantee you that you will not lose any money for the production of those maps.....anyways the rest of the update was great and i hope that the whole halo ce pistol coming back is true....that would be awesome....also sorry for the long post but i figured since it was my last time posting about my dislike of a majority of the maps and my yearning for remakes that i mine as well say my piece.

So did anyone check out the podcast? Someone dropped the line "the pistol is coming back"...does that mean we're gonna see Bungie throw down a fairly significant buff to the pistol in the coming autoupdate? Could be cool, seeing how the pistol is still pretty useless. I'd say if anything just increase it's rate of fire probably 30% or so and you'd have a reasonable contendor to several other weapons. A BR and AR would still win in a fight, but not as much. Can't wait for more DLC. Hoping we get to see a remake Lockout and Blood Gulch from Halo 2 and maybe a Sidewinder and Damnation from Halo 1 (probably not as popular, but it was a sweet map). Probably not for another 3-6 months, but it could happen :)

Meh, maybe they are going to bring out a 'Halo:CE' gametype with a modded pistol that replicates it's CE performance and is the default starting weapon?

I was really surprised by how good the WETA weapons are. If the movie ever gets going again, it's gonna be [i]good[/i].
