To me it sounds like ok Corral is an improved version of headlong. And i hope that cottenball is a super uber version of blood gulch. Keep the new DLC updates coming bungie! Madmax signing out!

omg the weapons were amazing! i want one! great update guys, i can kind of guess what "Cottonball" MIGHT be...sounds to me like its going to be Sidewinder! When you said: "The map leads to the kind of long, drawn out megabattles that hearken back to the days of the original Halo and the crucial to and fro of an epic LAN party." Sidewinder is a map from Halo CE in which many people played on LANs.. then this: "The other is that each side has some wonderful shortcuts – natural and mechanical – that may not make great flag escape routes, but might let a mobile pursuer cut off escapees." Sidewinder has teleporters leading to different parts, along with holes in the cliffs that lead to other parts of the level. "For some reason, massive and labyrinthine as it is, this new map never confuses me." ehh, if this isn't a remake then I'm completely stupid...but the descriptions make it sound a lot like Sidewinder, if not a Halo CE map (can't remember the names of a few possible ones). -thanks!

I normally buy everything Bungie without question. I've bought at least 30% of the items at the online store. But I am not buying these new maps this time until I see some major improvements with the auto update. The Legendary edition was a let down, the last DLC could have easily been included in the final game, plus the maps were kind of a let down and the playlists have been kinda blah-blah thus far. I know I'm just one fan, but I'm a long-time-HUGE fan and I rarely speak out on these boards. I'm tired of the same melee issues as everyone else. I'm tired of the "super-man" lunges from insane distances. I'm tired of backing up as I put an entire BR clip into someone who is charging me at medium to long range and having their AR kill me. I'm tired of sniping people in the head and them not dying. Even during instances when the player is standing still! (Saved movies is more than proof.) I'm tired of watching 4 people, including myself, shoot at one person in Lone/Pit and that playing not dying. It's insane how much damage certain players can take! And, I don't care how much the different armor was tested... they are NOT all equal. I sustain my belief that certain armor can take much more damage than other armor. I don't mean to complain so much. I know I'm not the best player in the world so I don't mind when I lose. But when I lose to complete BS, the phrase, "I want to stop playing Halo for awhile", seems to be coming into my mind more and more often.

Also, if you really want to fix Oddball Hardcore you NEED to remove the Bubble and put a Regen or Power Drain in it's place. In my opinion, that goes for ALL of Hardcore. No more Bubble. Regen or Drainer only. Also, WTF is up with Valhalla and Standoff in THC?

Very cool update! The new maps sounds awesome; can't wait to play them when they're released. Also, I'm glad Bungie is looking into the melee issue and creating an auto-update patch for Halo 3. The game has been out for roughly five months and they're already just about done a patch, great contribution to the community. Haha, that real life griff ball made me laugh, very funny Frankie. Those real replicas of Halo weapons are pretty awesome, if I only I could get my hands on one of them and show up in uniform to duty, oh man the expressions on people's face when they saw me, priceless. Great job Bungie, keep it up =)

Awesome update Bungie! I love the cool movie pictures. Would be so amazing to have one of those hanging in my room. The Auto-Update sounds enticing, I can't wait to see what kind of fixes are being addressed. I'm also very excited for the new maps. I will drool when screen-shots of the final maps come out in a future weekly update and I can't wait to play them with my friends! Keep up the good work!! P.S. Oh, and if I had a dollar for every silly, ridiculous, insane out of place complaint about Halo 3 from so many people on these boards, I would be rich enough to buy can has Recon.

Okay, that BR model is the coolest thing i have ever seen, right below the REAL warthog. You guys have to get more of those brs and put them on the Bungie store.

Any chance you guys will get Weta to make an entire collection of Halo weapons and armor? Hell, maybe even a Power Wheels Warthog (remember those things?) would be awesome. Maybe some Laser Tag Plasma Rifles and Plasma Grenades with velcro or something to make them stick to clothing. And obviously, let's not forget the Spartan armor. Then little Jimmy can "finish the fight" with the school bully. Bribe them with a compilation of Marty's music or something. That stuff is epic.

So we are getting MORE big maps. As someone that is a mid to long range specialist I gotta say enough with the big maps. Just for variety sake we need a midship or warlock claustorphobic map if for nothing else a change in pace.

Those weapons look amazing O_o though a couple are so large they seem like they'd be quite unwieldy. And i love digitalph33r ^_^, he's hilarious. This one was slightly worse than the rest though still excellent. I don't think he should have told everyone microsoft sam and w/e voiced since now a bunch of machinima are using those voices and its starting to not seem quite as unique to MC in ph33rs productions.
