So after further testing it turns out I can join a fireteam with a random person, they can hear me and I can hear them. My friend can do the same. When we connect we cannot hear each other. If we both join a fireteam with the same random person, that person can hear both of us, but we cannot hear each other. What is different about friends chatting? help!
