I did this. Yea, you end up in devil's lair. It was cool. Got to run around there for fun. It seems that most things in the map eventually circle around. Also all the open doors you can't enter? It almost looks like the darkness is blocking us form entering as as we move into the full game we will be able to push it back and move to even more areas of the map!
