Coming over to show some support. I think the issue is with the dead zone though, they just made them too large. So within a certain radius on the sticks it will move/look at a slower pace, and once you get out of that dead zone it accelerates.
The issue is the larger the dead zone the harder it is to hit your mark, particularly with shooters. Developers need to realize that if you're going to make a shooter then make the dead zone on the sticks as small as possible so you don't have to crank the stick all the in one direction just to get the pointer where you want it, when you want it.

I got used to the larger deadzone after a few minutes, didn't bother me as much. In fact, I changed my deadzone settings in other games back to default because I got used to it.
