I understand the use of player collision in regards to realism....but unless you are going to have "friendly fire on" there is really no need for this....possibly a milder bump...so that you would notice it...but I shouldn't be able to push my buddie off a mountain!

You shouldn't push them off in the first place. Pay attention, it's not Bungie's fault.
