When I view the connection status on my PS4, it says I have a Type 2 Moderate NAT, but Destiny states it's a Type 3 Strict NAT and that I may be missing out on features such as voice chat with my Fireteam members. Should I just ignore this message or is there a way I can fix it?

Hi BlookerG, NAT type is a general measurement for how well you can connect to other systems (consoles, computers, servers, etc) through your internet connection. You will want to ensure you have the best, most stable connection possible to have a great Destiny experience. There are a few ways to do that and I would recommend taking a look at our NAT guide here: http://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11931 You can find on that page our recommended suggestions. I hope that will improve your NAT type!

Hey I found this article recently and it helped me out. If you all are still having trouble this may help you. Bungie has provided us with the ports that need to be opened in order to get Destiny working as intended, so in addition to the ports mentioned in the link above, please also open the following for both TCP and UDP connections, inbound and outbound (for simplicity): • 3074 • 7500-17899 • 30000-40399 • Opening these ports should get you to NAT Type 2 (Moderate) hopefully.

This happens to me but only when both my brother and I try to play Destiny at the same time. Tried opening ports on router, did not work...

I got the same problem and don't know what to do... A solution in view of the full version would be important...

I just had the same problem and I don't know how to fix it so I just ignored it. Same thing happend with cod ghost and it never changed. It's probably because so many people are on the server
