Depends on the retailer. If you purchased from PSN store, you should be able to just upgrade. Elsewhere, it varies.

From what I researched, if you have the regular version preordered on the PSN store, than the way to upgrade is: 1) Go to the digital guardian page. 2) Instead of the price being 89.99, it should be 29.99. 3) I think you preorder that. I really advise you do some extra research. Or to just call them to confirm.

Australian store from what I heard updates tomorrow. I still advise research, especially because I heard that it could update anytime during the later part of the week. Hopefully it works out for you. Good luck. Have any more Bungie.net/destiny questions, feel free to ask support.
