So I know that when in a strike with your fireteam, each individual guardian gets their own loot from sub bosses/main boss. But do you think the guardian who delivers the kill shot should receive better loot? Interested to see what y'all have to say

Like in SAO? You get final shot you get an exclusive kill item?
-
No way. I'm not letting some player that was camping and took the final kill shot get the better loot even though I put 6000+ damage in the boss. That would just be annoying.
-
Its fine how it is...
-
Depends on how bungie feels about. In my opinion, I wouldn't want to put a ton of work into a boss fight and have someone who didn't do anything get the final blow and get extra loot.
-
Nope, if anything, the one doing most damage should get the best loot, if damage would matter. However I prefer it doesn't matter, because it will be teamwork between at least 3 people most of the time. For example when one is killing all adds, because his/her build is at its best there, so that another can kill the boss, both are equally important to the end goal and deserve an equal share I think.
-
Absolutely not.

Edited by Shadow: 7/6/2014 7:48:19 PMMajority of the replies here are just luficris its as if none of you have played MMOs before not to be rude but think about it. The person dealing the highest damage doesn't necessarily mean that he contributed the most to the success of the strike or raid. Neither does having the highest input I.e crowd control, support, damage, etc wouldnt be fair either, for example what if I was running a strike as a support warlock and I just spammed that skill that enhances everyone's damage thus the basis of their damage came from me and id have the highest input when I didn't even do anything to help out team work wise. Same goes for any other class. I think it should not be an individual thing but more of a team based loot which means the team with the best team work and strategy would get better loot then a team with less team work, a team that constantly got wiped, or performed horribly. This kind of system would inspire ppl to work together to get the best results thus creating a better community. As for the ppl who suck at fps well then goddamn too bad lmao.

Its a team effort so no.
-
Maybe give extra loot if some one deals much more damage than others but otherwise it should be same ammount of loot for everyone.
-
No because in most cases the person who gets the kill shot is just lucky and didn't do any better or worse than the others than our playing with him.
-
In essence... No
-
Well what if you wanted to carry a friend to get geared up quicker for a hard strike, and most people won't be doing random solo ques most will have a set fireteam already
-
Well what if player one does all the damage, and the player two steals his kill last second. I personally don't think that would be a good way of handing out loot. I'm okay with everyone getting the same amount.
-
Not if ur on a team and you do the same, amount of work kill shots shouldn't matter.
-
Nope. Just shoot the monster and hope you get something.
