Think about it this way, mate.
To play Destiny, you have to have a PSN or an Xbox Live account.
To play Destiny, you don't need to have a Bungie.net account.

You needed a Bungie.net account to play the Alpha, IIRC.

They asked people for their e-mail from what I remember. But either way, the Alpha was for testing purposes- and they wanted feedback as well. So I wouldn't be surprised by that. What would be surprising is if it were that way at launch.

I don't have the source right in front of me, but I am 99% sure you need a Bungie account to play Destiny.

And if you get the actual Beta code from somebody else (note- the actual Beta code, not the one you get from retailers that you enter on Bnet), you don't need to come to Bnet either. :/

Where did you enter your code? Everyone is going through the same process of entering the code and waiting for the actual code right? I dunno about the digital stuff honestly

This means that at the e-mail address you had to verify with Bungie.net in order to enter the code, you will be receiving an ACTUAL Beta code for the console you choose once those e-mails go out en masse. Those codes will then be entered on your console.

So my point stands you need bungie.net for beta and most likely the app.....therefore you'll need your bungie.net account. Grimoir cards and so on. I don't know if I'm right about the name thing it's only an assumption
