Its gonna be your PSN, I mean seriously you have to log into the PSN or XBL to play online at the very least right? So why would it not use your GT or PSN?
Deej's comment is most likely a cock up on his behalf, I sure he meant if you PSN/GT was F12 then your name will be F12.

Something easily misconstrued into people believe public access to the beta earlier than planned. When all we got was IGN getting preferential treatment to the beta. Just like my assumption that ps users got alpha everyone was like noooo!! You're retarded, guess what, they did. And everything from alpha and beta is getting wiped so they wouldn't care about using your gamertag or psn id. But when the app is finished.....when the game actually comes out and saves progress you will need a bungie account for both your character and app. Boom my end of discussion

Only games that do are MMOs and Bungie are quite firm on their stance about that. But im just going to mute you because it less hassle than resisting the urge to reply.

Final fantasy doesn't use your psn, I can very highly see it being your bungie username, considering the app and so on

Final Fantasy is a full on RPG, if your on about FF14 then you have separate character of which name you use like in most MMOs. Also may I mention that if you are indeed on about FF14, that's a Subscription based MMO with means you don't have to pay for PS+ to play as the costs are covered by that subscription.
