Is Mentor some sort of upcoming class in destiny? Usually it's a term that describes someone who imparts wisdom on others.
I guess it's some weird title trend with this website, our ninjas aren't particularly covert.

There's mentors in the game. They're NPC's that you find in the tower who sell quality gear and other bits and bobs, they are also class specific.
