So you have the book it was based off of? How was it? I'm considering reading it now. I'd still go see it if I were you. The movie was awesome.

The book and the movie has differences, the main character is Japanese and the book has a far darker tone compared to the movie, the book was a bit slow going in some places but is not bad, and yes I am going to see the movie.
