Edited by kj2177: 9/2/2014 3:11:51 AMsome people, like myself, don't capitalize the word "god" out of respect. it is a gesture of showing the humble side to which he/she is attributed in the belief of the trinity being the father, son and holy ghost

No man has the right to humble The Lord; we are to exalt Him to the highest.
-
I respect your beliefs. I was taught jesus was humble
-
That doesn't mean you shouldn't capitalize His name, that's basic grammar. That's like calling someone "allen" instead of "Allen"
-
For me it is a reminder to be humble. I think everyone has a personal relationship with god if they so choose. As I said, I wouldn't tell you not to capitalize the word as I respect your beliefs.

It's not a belief, it's grammar. God's not an object, God is a proper noun because God is a person, that's his name, in English we capitalize proper nouns.
-
god is a nou too, like a random deity
-
as I said, I respect your beliefs and would not tell you how to write it. I was only trying to explain why I write it that way. I do not judge you.
