Short answer. No, because the graphics are to good. Most good looking games don't have split screen because it puts to much strain on the the engine.

there have been a ton of good looking games with split screen... 4 way online and local split screen at that. It has nothing to do with engine strain.

Yes it does. Split screen puts alot of strain on the engine because it has to have two of the same game running at high speed. Hard as gell for the engine.
