It's not about civility. It's about having a negative (or "disrespectful") opinion of transsexuals. I posted this because I was banned for saying the following (and I'm only quoting): "Transsexualism is a mental disorder." This was in a thread asking for my opinion on transsexuals. This isn't some far-fetched idea, and only recently was this idea abandoned in the medical community, mostly due to political bullshit and social justice. Technically though, it is a mental disorder since a "disorder" is defined as "non-order", or "not normal". Whether or not you accept them, thinking you're a man in a woman's body or vice-versa is definitively a mental disorder. Of course, then you have people (or should I say Tumblr-type Liberals) saying that "normal" is completely subjective terminology. Of course, what you have on this forum are a few overly-Liberal moderators. I've been told by multiple mods that my ban was not justified. Oh well though, this is what happens when you have a rule that can be interpreted any way some over-sensitive individual feels like.

No, it is not. Transsexualism, by definition, is someone changing or having the desire to change their sex. Again, the definition of "disorder" itself explains this. Autism is a mental disorder, but I guess calling it a "disorder" is offensive to aspies, right?
