Custom Visors and Armor (Requests OPEN)
With Xbox Live screwing up today, making me lose my 49 in Team Doubles due to several occasions where my partner disconnected before the match even started, I came to the forums and remembered how there were a few colored visor threads, notably Village Idiot77's [url=http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=14769515&postRepeater1-p=1]Visor Color Examples[/url]. So using his thread as inspiration I went ahead and made my own set of custom visors using photoshop. Click the slideshow link if you want to see them all one after another, or click any of the individual links so you can see them in greater detail. Please let me know what you think.

[b][u]Update - 1/1/08[/u][/b]
I was gonna make some custom stuff for Elites but I couldn't figure out what to do with them. Xbox Live is STILL messed up, so I went back to making stuff for spartans. Instead of visors, I change the way the armor looks. This took much more time than it did for me to just change the color of the visor. Click the slideshow to see them all in succession or click any of the individual links to see one in greater detail. Take a look and tell me what you think.

It's been 5 months, and I did say before that I'd make more but I haven't. Time for that to change. But I'll need your help. Give me ideas for more types of armor and visors. I don't expect to receive lots of ideas, but even still I'm only going to use the best ones.

Customizations to visors and different armor patterns would be really cool in Halo 3. It wouldn't really make any difference in game play especially the visors, and would allow much more creativity. It would be interesting to see this happen but I doubt it would.

And would all the camo configs and visor configs work for all armor perms?[/quote]Hypothetically speaking, in a world were Bungie picked up this idea, I think they would indeed make it so all camos and visors work with all armor perms, and that you can change the color of your visor to whatever you want no matter what camo pattern or solid color your using. Hypothetically speaking.

I wasn't aware there was a 'Add Camo Pattern to Armor' filter. Actually I just messed around with the blending options, adjusted the base layer, added color overlay, cropped the armor, aswell as make my own camo patterns from scratch for a few of the armors I posted. I'll try that if I do make burns and scratches on the armor, thanks. I'll skip on completely customizing the armor. Glad you like it, though. :) [Edited on 01.03.2008 2:34 PM PST]

Most of those look awesome :D The blood one is bad (imo), too much and it looks like you used one brush for all of it =/ I think you just used a filter for the armor coloring, but it looks great :) GJ overall :) (Funny what can come out of boredom =/ ) *Also a tip on burns and scratches. Googling an abstract design then overlaying it then erasing some parts around it can provide an excellent burn or scratch. Changing the color is easy, too easy, I would if I also had something I can do with the armor. Adding burns and scratches is harder, and I really don't think it's worth the effort. I can give it a shot, but once I decide on how else I change the armor in terms of color.
