New monarchy has no religious connotations, and osiris was a mythological god, so not a current religion at all. i am confused as to how seven seraphs would be related to religion as well.

You're totally right on the new monarchy. I guess I'm thinking the factions will be political groups vying for power, and I don't really want to support a monarchy (if in fact it is a monarchy). I wasn't saying they're current religions, but they're still based off a religion. People don't believe in osiris now, but they definitely used to, the same way people believed in Zeus. Seraph is also a religious term
