• Alright. So it seems the big debate here is between Chick-fil-a (CFA) sauce and Polynesian (Poly) Sauce. Having not tried either on its own (I did have CFA on a spicy chicken for lunch yesterday, but that was the first time i had tried it), I figure I'm in a unique position to offer an unbiased verdict on which sauce is superior. After work today, I went out and bought an 8-piece Chick-fil-a nugget and asked for one of each sauce. I began with the Chick-fil-a "sauce". Sauce is in quotes there for a reason. In my opinion, this is really more of a spread. It has the consistency of mayonnaise and clumps when dipped. Its pasty yellow appearance is not very appetizing which really doesn't matter if you're smearing it inside a sandwich -- its obvious intended usage. It tastes like a spicy, slightly sweet mustard mixed with mayo. Not bad. Then I went on to the Polynesian sauce. This one is definitely intended to be a dipping sauce. Look at it... all gooey and... dippy. This shit is perfect on nuggets! It's a bit similar in taste to sweet and sour sauce, but more tangy than sweet. I like it. Obviously, if you put this on a sandwich it would drip out and ruin your shirt, but as with the CFA sauce, it seems to be better suited for a specific role. The only thing I dont like about this sauce is the color. The CFA sauce's slightly off-yellow could be attributed to the mustard... This one is purely cosmetic and obviously dyed. Conculsion: After carefully weighing the pros and cons of each sauce, I am left with one very obvious verdict: Mix dem sumbitches! Seriously. Sweet, tangy, a little bit of spice... not too gooey or clumpy -- just the right consistency to thoroughly coat your nugget and stay where you put it so as not to drip out of your sammich onto your shirt. Perfection. I regret to admit that I didn't get a picture of this delicious concoction because.... I... I eated it.
Yeah. I cheated. Sue me. :)
Other opinions via GropeMe:
Whistles: if you didnt Chik Fil A sauce you were doing it wrong im convinced they just beat off a deity into a sauce packet

Froggie: Poly is the BEST. I go there specifically for the Polynesian sauce!

RaDekk: Poly is best. Canada confirms. We created the ability to sauce!

Stick: oh dear Lord what's happening in here? sauces in general scare me
