is there any possible downsides to standing consoles vertically instead of laying them horizontally? some people say it's mostly fine, others claim it causes heating and cooling issues that wear it out faster. of course it can mess with disc drives or kill it if it gets knocked over, but really that's any shock sensitive electronics gear.
