It's allowed to be used. £35K is the absolute maximum. What can that money buy?
I'm test driving a 2005 Bentley Continental GT tomorrow, 42,000 miles on the clock for £34,999. Anyone suggest a better car for the money? I've seen Porsches, Astons, Jags... but which is the better car to own? Bentley certainly has a prestige to it. Rolling up to uni in a Continental (or an Aston for that matter) would turn heads.

Edited by Based Gatsby: 4/21/2014 8:41:32 PMIf you want something nice at least make sure it's 2011+ You say pounds so I assume you're a Brit, do you know how crazy insurance is? Get a BMW 4 series, or an E class coupe.

I read this a $'s and was super confused.

A Bentley counts as a sports car?

Edited by Mega Blaziken: 4/21/2014 9:58:00 PMGo with a Porsche, or alternatively a Rolls Royce if you're looking for a flashy car, but if you want pure power/potential, go with an unmolested stock civic, a Lan Evo, or possibly a WRX, then mod the engine until you can't improve any further. NOTE- this is based off of personal experience alone.

I drive a BMW Z4 and think it's a great car. Obviously low on extra space, but I don't care

Toyota GT86 Subaru WRX STI Porsche Cayman Hyundai Genesis Coupe Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Ford Focus ST or RS (if you can find one) VW Golf GTI MINI Cooper S Chrysler Crossfire A Mustang, Camaro, or Challenger (pony cars are everywhere new or used) Corvette BMW 135i BMW M235i I'd go for the M235i. That's a cool Beemer.

If you find a 2005 Lambo Gallardo with 50,000 miles on it (good luck), the KBB value is $40,000.

From what I've read you want to show your car of more than you care about performance, so I can't really help you.
-
What's wrong with just a regular car?
-
Do you want a car that goes fast or looks fast?
-
You could get a used Porsche. My mom got my dad a used Porsche Carrera for $45,000. I know thats outside your price range, but if my mom got a Porsche for half off and still in great condition, Im sure you could do the same for a lower price
-
I do not know what all is available there. In the US, a used BMW or Porsche would be the go to's of the ones you listed. Jags are not usually that reliable after the warranty runs out. Astons, well I will never see one around my neck of the woods so I have no idea. A Bentley? Really? Here that would buy a really solid muscle car, new.
-
Don't waste your money on a Bentley.
