Disagree. I've had time to think about this and still feel this was wrong on Bungie's part. You don't fire one of your best and not explain why. Did he commit a criminal act? If so, then say something about it. If not, then why fire him? It's not complicated, it shouldn't be personal (unless the ones doing the firing were offended by Marty's personal beliefs), so why not explain it? The fact you're willing to let this go so easily shows your care more about getting instant gratification from a game than caring about the people that labored to make that game. Will Destiny be a great game? Maybe. But would you still buy a game from a company if it fired all the good people and retained those with a criminal history even though game was still good? If so, then you have no principles and I feel sorry for you.

  • It wouldn't be professional to give out information like this to the public. Privacy is far more important than some fanboy's curiosity.

I'm sorry but the idea that I don't care about the people labouring over a game making it is completely the opposite of what I just said. I do care about them and thus I understand that 99% of the people at bungie had nothing to do with this decision. Only the Board of Directors did. I also said that it's probably between Marty and them. Marty may have done something wrong and it's possible that out of respect for him they don't say. As I said it's very possible that neither party wants to let people know why the termination took place. We don't have the right to know exactly what happened and with this newest update I definitely got the feeling it was hard on a fair few people at bungie. Also I'm not letting anything go. I want Marty to do well and succeed. There is no indication that anyone at bungie has a criminal history and no company would retain people that had one and let go of people that didn't that's just not a very logical way to think about this. There are a lot of reasons that someone could be fired and perhaps bungie just didn't want to muddy the waters for Marty in his pursuit of a new job. There are so many possibilities to this and seeing bungie as a villain here is not the correct way to go about it. Also say he was fired in an unfair way, well as I said previously 99% of the people working on destiny at bungie had nothing to do with it. So don't think I have no principles as a human being because that is completely unnecessary and wholly untrue. Why do you think I changed my avatar to Marty? I wanted to show my appreciation for him and all the ways that his music has quite literally changed my life.

  • I kind of agree with this.
