I'll give you a Macdonalds job offer right now. Please give me some free delicious fries though!
It's a good deal!

Lol, would never work in McDonalds even if I dropped out of all education. I'm too witty, handsome and charming for that. I'd be a waiter/barman at an upper-tier restaurant, brb pulling in £7 an hour plus £40-60 in tips a night. Did it for a few months and was living pretty comfortably. Now I'm at University and I'm so -blam!-ing poverty it's depressing, I've got £200 to live off for the next 4 weeks and overdue rent.

Edited by Bolt: 4/11/2014 8:14:48 PMIn my experience, people who give up in college/university were very sheltered children, and just don't know how shitty the real world can be yet. They have no internal concept of what failure means, and lack the ability to weigh a few years of hard work against a lifetime of wage-slavery. One can only hope the parents that did that to them will be able to support them indefinitely, or at least that they taught them well enough that they'll bounce when they crash to the bottom.

There's a difference between joking about exam stress (the actual point of my thread) and just giving up and winging it.
