Just a reminder that there will never be another Halo game where one could play for 8+ hours a day, 7 days a week, and have fun for multiple years without any dullness. You will never again know the feeling of getting to that hard-to-earn skill rank. You will never again have the same feelings as you did when you only dreamed of wearing Reconz. Never again will you witness the glory and epicness of playing Fat Man, or H A L O, or Cops and Robbers, or even I Am Legend on a forged Foundry or Sandbox map. You will never look at another population counter and see more than 50K in one single playlist.
The glory days have been over for four years. It's been four years men, and I think it's time we give up on this false hope. It was fun when it lasted.

The fact you cling to Halo 3 is a testament of how misguided this community is.
-
I've grown to hate Halo 3 because of this forum and the fanboys that continue to live in the past.

You need a job, and probably some friends.
But... but... butt... muh Haylo Tree!
Got boring to somebody, somewhere at some point. You're implying that there was no population drop for H3, which is asinine. Not to mention that not everyone played 56 hours a week over the course of two years. People played less than that and left for one reason or another.
You will never look at another population counter and see more than 50K in one single playlist.
IIRC live population counts were swapped for 24 hour counts not to long after launch and the 24 hour counts "guessed" the population by going by the number of games played and assuming full lobbies for all of them. Not to mention that most of those players were the "filthy casuals" that everyone likes to beat on. The ones who left for MW1 and came back, and then left for good with MW2.
Fat Man, or H A L O, or Cops and Robbers, or even I Am Legend
Those were all PURE SHIT.

I like how you automatically judged future Halo games. You know it could change for the better you know? What if 343i does really good with the next one? You don't know, and it isn't fair for you to pronounce judgement on something you no nothing about yet.

That's funny, I can easily play H4 for 8+ hours a day, 7 days a week.

And I'll continue not giving a shit. Campaign >>> MP

I never played that much halo, ever.

This whole thread is just opinion, the only thing I even slightly agree with you about is Recon cause I busted my ass off getting the Vidmasters to wear it. Everything else is pretty much just the same rehash Halo 3 fanboys say. Halo 3 forge SUCKED anyways. While you can have your own opinion, this thread is not needed as there should be no segregation of communities between Halo 3, Reach, or 4, but instead simply one community that makes Halo thrive as a great game and community as a whole instead of kids who bitch and complain that the new game isn't a rehash of a game from 2007. Oh and before I finish this post,
DMR master race.
I don't like halo MP

Thank you for this stark view into the reality of the franchise. Now I'll go immolate myself. Please excuse me.
