Depends on what you mean by FTL. It is theoretically possible to travel from point A to point B in space faster than light would normally get there, but you never travel faster than light, you distort spacetime to create a shortcut for yourself. As far as we know right now, there is no way to go faster than light. Not even the energy in a supernova can accelerate matter to the speed of light, so I doubt it. Nothing we can harness now or even in the distant future will have more energy than a supernova.

I wonder that if when Dyson's Spheres become a thing, that we could conceivably contain a very old unstable star. It's hard to imagine what we would look like as a species far enough in the future to witness stellar death. It'd be like watching a god die.
