I have a difficult time forming emotional connections with people I don't know. When I hear tragic stories, I tend to have a moment of pause, but not much more than that. I can't even tell you the last movie that struck an emotional cord. Just a bit too jaded I guess.

I'm generally the same way, and you're not jaded in that regard. I just a moment of realization that took into account the larger perspective of that new story. I wasn't so much connected to the individuals on the screen, but rather to humanity as a whole, and the travesty of our transgressions against each other.
