IMO it looks better but it's technically slower than the last gens, and they really didn't change a whole lot.
The boxer engines still guzzle fuel like a V8 equivalent for similar price ranges, so I don't see the point in buying a new WRX or STI. It's also got too much displacement to technically go rallying, so what is the point? I'd personally rather have a Camaro SS 1LE for the price of an STI. You'd get slightly better fuel economy, it's not as practical in terms of space but who the hell cares, and performance wise it's better in every way.

I wouldn't say every way. Rain, sleet or snow, the Subie will keep on going. You can use the STi everyday. That's the brilliance of it. Id much rather have it than the camaro.

You can use a Camaro everyday easy, in fact I know people who do, and I plan on doing so myself in the next year or so :D STI's don't warrant the price tag for me, but I'd deffo consider owning an older WRX hatchback if I lived in a climate where they had harsh winters. Fortunately winters aren't usually tough here unless I go back in the mountains, and I'd probably swap the OE goodyears for some Michelin PSS's for year round use.

To each is own. I hate the new camaro, but I respect its specs. Whenever I buy a new car I'm buying a gd sti, no contest.

That's fair, I mostly feel the same way about Subies, but everyone is allowed to like what they like
-
Every is allowed to like whatever except for the people who like camrys.

I can drink to that
