I'm actually starting to think Talos may agree with the Stormcloaks, in that the Empire is old and needs to be replaced.
Here's my reasoning. Right before you go fight Dagoth Ur at Red Mountain in Morrowind, you can talk to an old Imperial soldier, Wulf, in Ghostgate, who you later find out to be an aspect of Talos. He tells you that he(i.e. the Empire) is old and worn out and mentions that maybe it's time for some new people and ideas to take his place.
I dunno, just my 2 cents.

Its that they have a bad leader,if it was someone other than ulfric, than yeah

Yeah, that's my thought, also.

I'm waiting for the Dwemer to come back and kick everyone's butts.

Their not coming back. When Kangernac struck the Heart of Lorkhan, every single Dwemer was transformed into Numidium's golden skin. (You see this process in action in a smaller scale during one of the college side quests, where Arniel recreates the event and is bound to the nearest divine object (You).
Although, if and when the Altmer-counter logicians lose their fight/debate with Numidium, then you could say that's the dwarves kicking everyone's butts
So that guy beneath the tower in Tel Fyr was turned into Numidium's golden skin, too? That's too bad. I was hoping the Dwemer would eventually reappear later on in the Elder Scrolls.

Maybe, but Morrowind basically covered the Dwemer.
