God this album is a pretentious piece of bullshit. I finally tried to give Neutral Milk Hotel a chance, and listen to this as open-minded as I possibly could, but christ it's bad. It's shitty shit garbage shit worshiped by shit. It's bland, all blends together, and boring. If you absolutely NEED pretentious lyrics that mean nothing at all, then listen to something with musical quality like Jethro Tull. Or hell, if just having nonsensical lyrics impresses you (as I think is the case for most fans of this garbage album), you'll [i]love[/i] the Red Hot Chili Peppers. 0/10 will probably never try again after this third chance.
