In this case I'd have to go with Titanfall.
Simply because Thief has a lot to live up to (if you've ever played any of the others...). Simply put if Thief doesn't live up to it, you can save yourself the disappointment. Where as with Titanfall you can expect another generic FPS and can only be pleasantly surprised if it turns into anything other than brown n' bloom with robots.
Or Dark Souls 2...

You watch zero punctuation? Love that show

Thing is, I enjoyed Dishonoured, and I've never touched a Thief, even Deadly Shadows. So I have lofty expectations, given the series' legacy, but nothing concrete on which to base them.

Edited by TGI Skuldier: 2/11/2014 3:54:05 PMThis is all just assuming he's going to go out and grab them right now of course. It's just with Thief (like any series reboot) its safer to draw conclusions after the game has come out and the dust has settled. In this case its doubly so considering the game's legacy. Its one of those cases where they are going to have to get it just right. Square and Eidos did a good job with Human Revolution though so I'm hopeful.

Problem is, I'm not a fan of first-person stealth: I tried DE1 a few years back and I couldn't complete the training mission because the stealth was so shitty. And whilst it just about worked in Dishonoured, I struggle to remember how. Vision cones? Leaning? I think Thief has leaning: you see Garrett's hand on a wall or surface as you lean to see, but ensuring he can't be seen. Also, the graphics for DE1 are worse than Half-Life, and it launched 2 years later.

Its an acquired taste of that there is no doubt.
