Different ammo types? Nobody ever said anything about that mate. You have ammo, which is shared between all regular weapons, then Heavy Ammo, which is just used for the weapon in your heavy weapon slot.

Edited by FairlySplendid: 2/1/2014 3:37:22 PMNitron is right, burrito. Each weapon slot gets generic/all- purpose ammo specific to that weapon slot. So in total, there are three (color-coded) ammo types in Destiny. Primary, Special, and Heavy. Each with varying rarity.

Do you have a time in the podcast so I don't have to listen to the whole thing again? Thanks.

Edited by FairlySplendid: 2/1/2014 7:08:17 PMOff the top of my head, roughly, around 37mins. Correction: 37 after weapon slots, 47 after ammo.

Right, that makes sense. And it may not be an ammo type, but wasn't there an upgrade for the Thunderlord which made it so you could shoot electric rounds?
-
Sure. Your bullets will have a different effect. That won't generate different ammo, though.

Good point. Well, so much for this thread, haha. I wonder what other kinds of upgrades we'll see in other exotic weapons. The effect of Gjallarhorn is quite interesting and creative.
