In Destiny playing as a Female Character should give you more of a edge then just hitboxes
You should be able to attract other male characters in to pacify them and have to ability to mate to continue the survival of humanity. This would give the player more loot if they did this and only commies don't like loot. My idea would make more players play as females ,would promote Female equality and i think feminists would buy Destiny more as it shows Bungie supports them
So thoughts Guardians?
make more players play as females
There're already enough males playing as females out there already. We don't need anymore of them.
#feminism
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
-
So to piss the people here off you decide to make a post saying that girls should have an advantage. You know that's sexist.
-
Mmm... Nope.
-
But then males would need a similar advantage otherwise it's unfair and sexist
-
Lol this is terrible I'm sorry.
-
BREASTINY
-
The last city on earth, existing of nothing but females. Not even the Traveler could help man(woman)kind from extinction. Unless that big ball in the sky is filled with males…hmm.
-
Yes let's make destiny a sexist game to where females get the upper hand on anything. With that said and sarcasm aside. Exos, who are robots have no gender, therefore making your post invalid as exos will rule everything and be better than a female ingame.
-
To everyone who thinks the female model in Reach has smaller hitboxes... You're wrong. The same goes to those who think that larger armor pieces (any armor) also effect the hitbox.

Edited by Banned n3rd: 1/9/2014 4:41:59 PMThat would work for those of you pathetic enough to want video game sex.
-
No sorry, it will still not be equal if the female characters have privliges. Its not a good idea in general, in my opinion.
-
have the ability to mate to continue the survival of humanity.

so porn in destiny?
-
That could get awkward For kind of obvious reasons And it would leave out Exo players
-
...What?
have to ability to mate to continue the survival of humanity
-
Yeeeeah no
-
0/10. Nice try kid, but no. Just stay in school and try again after you've learned a bit more.
-
That's so bad man. I don't think that is too good of an idea.
-
Excuse me. I am a guardian. I have a busy neverending job killing al kinds of alien scum on a number of different planets in our solar system that are trying to wipe us out of extinction. I'm never home, and if I am, I'm utterly screwed up by battle and I want to rest and after buy bigger better guns to kill bigger aliens. I HAVE NO TIME FOR ROMANCE!!!
You should be able to attract other male characters in to pacify them and have to ability to mate to continue the survival of humanity.
BIG NO.
-
Umm noo. There are no stat differences between the genders, so how would that be an equalizing effect? Also what if you are a female EXO? EXOs are robots...mating to survive is simply walk up to a computer and hit copy-paste.

Adding "seductive" traits to female characters to counter male stat bonuses is very trite and actually, while with good intent, is immersion breaking. Realistically speaking, it just seems like a cop-out to give the opposite gender a distinct quality; much like hitboxes, stat bonuses and detriments. An excuse to change genders. While bland, truly having full equality between the genders would be the best route Bungie could go; making these options aesthetic and only aesthetic. There is no reason why roleplay options should be classified to certain genders, and while stats and hitboxes often get a slide in other games because of the average female anatomy I still feel that the only gameplay-wise choices that people would have to go through in character production is classes and focuses (And races of Bungies decides to turn tail). There's no reason why there cant be a tough barfiend female warlock, and why there cant be seductive gigolo hunter. There's no equality there. Also, in terms of "videogame" feminism this is probably the worst way to go about it. I don't want to make it one of "those" threads but I'm pretty sure there are a few people who are familiar on the topic: Anita, Feminist Frequency, etc. Having female characters buy into tropes fits into one of the many categories of "sexism" because it's objectifying women into cliches and gender roles. In any case I really do think roleplay traits are interesting, just not as gender traits. No doubt there is somebody going to pop up in the thread to make fun of everyone in here for replying to a potential troll thread, but this actually is a pretty interesting topic.

I mean what's a better way to promote female equality then making it so people can "pacify" others and then abuse that whole "mating" idea of yours.
-
What the hell did I just read... -_-

Edited by Jay: 1/8/2014 5:47:36 PMYou talk about equality between male and female, and then you suggest that female characters should get extra perks and what not. Why would Bungie make one gender better then the other? It's just a preference. I have both male and female characters in basically every game that let's you choose your gender. There's no reason to give one better abilities then the other. So by giving female characters better perks/abilities you wouldn't be promoting equality at all. People would just choose them because they are better. If both genders had special abilities then it might work better, but I think it's best to just have both genders start out even.
-
Then everyone would play add a female character for the extra abilities. So no.
