Edited by Ad Hoc: 1/6/2014 11:58:57 PMGreene's build is good, but I suggest this HDD since it costs less. If you want Dual Channel, or just look the look of This Mobo then that's an option. And THIS is another case option. A bit more money, but I like it.
-
That HDD was cheaper at the time. Why do prices always fluctuate?
-
Ugh, I dunno. It's pretty frustrating when you're trying to help people pick parts.
-
The Barracuda series seems pretty stable though.
-
Why not the 200R or 300R? Also my mobo is cheaper.
-
Yes, it is. I just like the look of mine :D Same goes for the case. He'll be looking at it for a while, so I just wanted to give him some options.
-
Give in to the Carbide series! Corsair is love! Corsair is life!
-
I have to say, I love the 500r
-
It's so sexy! But dat obsidian series! Wooooo!
-
Edited by Ad Hoc: 1/7/2014 12:28:23 AMI think I like the Carbide series a bit more, but I love the perfect, 90 degree angle edges on some of the Obsidian cases.
-
Sweet :D
-
This is without keyboard and mouse btw.
-
No probs, I have a mouse already, and keyboards are like $10 lol. (and like many gamers I'd either find an older display, or simply hook up my TV)
-
You're all set!

Edited by Equitem: 1/6/2014 9:49:00 PMMore RAM is not necessary. 8GB is enough unless you want to attempt to max out Crysis 3. Plus it'll allow you to spend $60+ on a gpu instead of unnecessary RAM.
-
I only said that because the build doesn't have dual channel memory. Maybe he could have a RAM disk? But I see where you're coming from.
-
Ah I see. Though it was 2x4 GB. On mobile so I just went off what he put in his post and assumed.
-
His post or my post?
-
I was basing logic on his, the OP's post.
