Looking for super sturdy headphones under or around $100

I'll be honest, I'm not an audiophile. I just want something good and super sturdy. The headphones I have now (JVC HA-RX700) are great, and I love them a lot, but recently the left ear broke off of the strap, so I had to tape it back together (it still works). The problem is that now the headphones don't sit evenly on my head/ears, so while yes I can hear out of both ears just fine, the left ear sounds sliiiightly softer now, and since the left ear doesn't fully cover my ear anymore, the sound is bothering my ears. So, super sturdy headphones, good quality, under or around $100. Any suggestions?

    • Why the hell would headphones ever cost $100?! You can get a perfectly great pair for $15 online with maybe $7 shipping.

These headphones have lasted me about 8 months now, they are surprisingly durable for a £20 pair. They have survived several bad tempered removals from my head and subsequent launches at furniture. The earphones fold inwards so it can travel flat inside of a rucksack which is a really useful feature in my opinion. They sound great and have a simple sound/mute mic array on the left ear. They also have really large earpieces so it fits snugly around your ear (Give or take on the Lobe) so if you have trouble with smaller ones crushing your ears over long periods of time these will work great. I have them on pretty much all the time I am awake, even if I'm not listening to anything and they are comfortable as hell :D It should be about $30-40 at a guess, so you'll save a lot of money to get a really good pair (If you aren't an audiophile like me that is)

      • Go to the dollar store and just pick up some earbuds. The quality of sound isn't all that different from more expensive brands. Plus, if they break, who cares? It's one dollar and you can pick up 99 more.

At Microsoft store .com, they have the halo triton warhead. Not only does it look awesome, but it also sounds amazing. 7.1 HD surround sound. It is also a very quality headset; it retailed at like 300, but you can get it for 109.99. Can be used on pc and xbox. Microphone is detachable.

        • I bought some Philips headphones for $30 for my laptop, they're insanely good. -great sound quality -comfy as -blam!- -really well made materials, you can just tell it'll last a long time -comes with an adapter so it can be plugged into larger sockets (like on my yamaha keyboard)

        • The new Apple earpods. They are the most comfortable and sound pretty good.

        • If your looking something for games, the triton triggers, they are around $80 and they are very durable. They cover the ears, so they cancel out sound and don't stat hurting after a few min's. If you looking fro something you can wear out and about even though they are a bit bulky the next un up has the option to remove the mic so they become a normal set of headphones, plus a few other features.
