Destiny Database

This is all the knowledge I have been able to gather on “Destiny” I hope you will all enjoy it and if you find something that I have missed comment and I will add it to the database. Fist we will start with my information on the Guardians. The guardians are us, all the players in the world of “Destiny” As a guardian we have the ability to use some of the powers of the “Traveler”. When we make our own custom guardian we will pick from 3 races and 3 classes depending on your class your guardians focus will be available. The “focusses” for our characters will be his/her’s personal abilities and traveler’s abilities (aka “Space Magic” around the Bungie Community). You can also join a faction not much is known about this yet but we do have the logos and every Bungie employee seems to be wearing one of the shirts. 1-THE FACTIONS Osiris http://i.imgur.com/3RFOCCx.jpg Seven Seraphs http://i.imgur.com/rjwp0E9.jpg Future War Culture http://i.imgur.com/wWQh9GI.jpg New Monarchy http://i.imgur.com/sRrh8uS.jpg Dead Orbit http://i.imgur.com/xEpNAK0.jpg 2-THE RACES 2.1-AWOKEN http://i.imgur.com/zPJqRNW.png http://i.imgur.com/WYKfLTb.jpg The Awoken are based off of mythological creatures such as elves, vampires, ghosts, and angels. They are "exotic, beautiful, and mysterious." They, along with the Humans, survived the Collapse, though they were l"deeply affected". They have aloof personalities compared to the other races. 2.2-EXO HTTP://I.IMGUR.COM/GSFOBMZ.JPG The Exo are "sinister, powerful, and tireless" Guardians are some sort of cyborg. They are ruthless fighters that can't easily be stopped. They are self-aware machines created during the Golden Age, but have lost all memory since the collapse. 2.3-HUMANS HTTP://I.IMGUR.COM/SKEJHR1.JPG These ones are the most relatable to players. Humans are "reliable, tough, and uncomplicated" but will get the job done. They are, at their core, survivors. 3-THE CLASSES http://i.imgur.com/fay5PWV.jpg Bungie employees have stated that no matter what, they are trying to make it so you don't regret your choice. Each class wears different armour and has their own unique supers (magic and abilities) and movements (such as the Hunter's double-jump). 3.1-HUNTER HTTP://I.IMGUR.COM/GLSXBSN.JPG Hunters once prowled the wilderness and wastelands, taking big risks for even bigger rewards. You're no outlaw—at least, not anymore—but making your own luck has always meant bending the rules. Your unique brand of daring and ingenuity is needed now more than ever. While they may seem to only be long range experts, the Hunter excels in silent close combat kills with their dagger. Here are the known powers (supers) for the Hunter - A warp ability that allows a Hunter to knife enemies by reaching them at incredible speeds while still remaining quiet. - The Hunter can unlock the ability to throw it's dagger. -Golden Gun: a weapon power-up that boost the power of a weapon, usually allowing one-hit kills on weaker enemies. - A grenade that separates and tracks down nearby enemies with red seekers. - Some sort of blast attack (as seen below) http://i.imgur.com/IpaxWEM.jpg 3.2-TITAN http://i.imgur.com/o0FfvjK.jpg The first Titans built the Wall, and gave their lives to defend it. Now, you stand in the same high place, steadfast and sure, protecting all who shelter in your shadow. You hail from a long line of heroes, forged from strength and sacrifice. Our enemies may be deadly and merciless, but so are you. You're a tank of a soldier who can wield any weapon, but also protect any friend. Here are the known powers (supers) for the Titan -Fist of Havoc: A powerful ground-pound (smash might be a better suited word) that devestates all nearby enemies. - Titans can use some sort of energy shield that protects them and their allies from oncoming fire. 3.3-WARLOCK http://i.imgur.com/qcAd0Yr.jpg Warlocks have long studied the Traveler, mastering some of its arcane energies. Its true purpose still remains a great mystery, but discovering truth has always driven you into the unknown. Now, our enemies are the only thing that stands between you and the lost wonders of our Golden Age. Your powerful magic attacks will be no match for any foes who stand in your way. Nova Bomb: A super that has been compared to dragon fire by Sage (a Bungie employee). It's very powerful and explodes on impact. http://i.imgur.com/cgwiZAw.jpg Solar Flare: Using the power of the Sun like a grenade. http://i.imgur.com/IQkl8xl.jpg

  • ENEMIES Now that we have covered the Guardians and there vast amount of weaponry we will discuss the enemies of destiny. (All of this info is thanks to Matt Miller’s interview with Bungie) THE FALLEN http://i.imgur.com/mBw32Rb.jpg The Fallen This vicious race of pirates is a scavenging menace from deep space. Once a proud and honorable species split into various noble houses, hey have fallen from grace into a nomadic and parasitic path. Its members still wear distinct sigils representing their house allegiance, amid he mismatched and tattered armor and cloth they’ve each pilfered. Their bodies have an arachnid-like quality, visually reinforced by four arms. Shoot a Fallen in the head, and their souls seem to lift up and away like wisps. Their mechanized vehicle units carry overtones of Japanese mecha, and their ships appear like rusted futuristic submarines. The Fallen DREGS are the lowest rung of society, so reviled that they’ve had two of their arms removed. http://i.imgur.com/vJ5Cn5D.png The VANDALS are a tier above, wielding swords and guns as they charge into battle. http://i.imgur.com/Iuap9rN.png Fallen CAPTAINS coordinate battles, and their hulking armor, long capes, and energy shields give them an unmistakable authority in the field. Sometimes, http://i.imgur.com/ZLPcQAT.png Fallen enter battle with mechanical Shanks to aid them – hovering turrets to harry their foes. THE CABAL http://i.imgur.com/hKzSJhV.jpg The Cabal The unstoppable engine of war powers the Cabal, an industrial, militaristic empire that spreads its corruption through organized and efficient expansion and unwavering resolve. Everything about the Cabal is big, from their bulky capital ships to their heavily armored soldiers, who appear as lumbering space rhinos. Cabal architecture is dirty and menacing, smoke issuing from vents and messy oil pouring down the sides. Kill a Cabal soldier, and they collapse with a crash and squirt dark oil from their livery. Like an unstoppable Roman empire from space, the hierarchical Cabal is spreading out to take the solar system for their own. LEGIONNAIRES toe the line and charge straight into battle. http://i.imgur.com/Seqi0HE.png The tougher CENTURIONS stay mobile thanks to jump jets that blast them across the battlefield. http://i.imgur.com/uHdiSvh.png GLADIATORS lead through their own ferocious size and strength, often wielding devastating Gatling Guns. http://i.imgur.com/uqVvspl.png A smaller Cabal variant called Psions (Sorry haven’t found a picture of these guys yet) harness the power of their minds to confront enemies and pilot the Cabal’s barn like ships, adding an unexpected twist to the other wise uniform army. THE VEX http://i.imgur.com/acVM6tv.jpg The Vex Picture the classic science fiction machine race, and mix it with the inscrutable motives of a timeworn Lovecraftian nightmare monster, and you get the Vex. They arrive in the solar system via warp gates, likely from another time in the past or future. Robotic bodies still carry a hint of organic components, and individual bodies might be humanoid, creature-shaped, or in between, but often with long, vicious clawed fingers. The seemingly illogical geometric designs of their structures come together like giant ant hills, but these stone citadels must hold some significance that is unknown to humanity. Head shots do little to slow their advance, but target their abdomen power cores, and a burst of glowing liquid signals their destruction. Vex bear names drawn from mythology. Plentiful swarms of GOBLINS harass and over whelm http://i.imgur.com/wcbTpdT.png , and their larger Hobgoblin (No Picture of this guys yet) cousins are distinguished by their tails, MINOTAURSare larger still broad-shouldered robotic menaces that glare out from three glowing eyes. http://i.imgur.com/9VZOiTL.png Hydras (no picture yet) are segmented machines that float through the air to attack; each segment bears its own turret, and these robotic centipedes fire those turrets as they wriggle through the air Finally, the smaller Harpies (no picture yet) fly rapidly in and out of a fight, occasionally pausing to open up their shells to reveal a writhing mass of filaments before they begin firing. THE HIVE http://i.imgur.com/XRdTwkD.jpg The Hive Inspired by the classic undead from fantasy fiction, the Hive are an impossibly ancient race that has kept themselves alive on tomblike sarcophagus ships. The Hive delves deep into a planetoid, unheeding of the damage they do in the process, crafting linked caverns and gothic-inspired columns. Their underground spaces are like a dungeon that has only recently been pulled up from too long under water. Destroy them, and their dry, mummy-like flesh ignites in a shower of dust and embers. In keeping with the theme, the Hive have names drawn from fantasy. THRALLS http://i.imgur.com/5xRGwvn.jpg attack in a shambling mob, usually unarmoured and without weapons. Troopers (haven’t found a picture of one yet) do the bulk of the combat, but are often assisted by KNIGHTSwielding enormous cleavers. http://i.imgur.com/am8s5Xa.jpg WIZARDS wear long, crumbling robes and fly overhead to unleash their spells, drawing on the power of the Darkness to fuel their powers. http://i.imgur.com/p1LB8Nc.jpg Delve deep enough, and eventually you’re likely to find an Ogre, a gigantic mass of muscle and rage that might stomp you to death if it doesn’t catch you with a blast of violet energy from its head. http://i.imgur.com/AOn9q9t.jpg
