I remember getting into a Halo 3 match with him and ZeRoyalViking (the guy who made the Shishka/H4x 4 lyfe 69 machinimas), it was too much for my 15 year old's inner fanboy back then. Miss Arby 'n' the Chief, but what a [i]fantastic[/i] run that show had (except for the LA series which we don't talk about).

  • He actually did some of the writing for it, as I recall him saying on his blog. There aren't many machinima issues in Halo 4, but the few that are present are pretty huge - no proper weapon lowering (despite the fact that there was in the game's early build) and no Elites. Theatre for Spartan Ops would've been helpful too, at the very least, because there are lots of amazing spaces which could be used.

    Hopefully Halo 5 is more of a traditional Halo game which caters to the machinima community too. Well at least cater to them better than Halo 4. :)

  • Halo 4 has some amazing machinima functionality though. The Forge community has come out with some truly amazing things using things like the Dominion pieces to create opening/closing doors. There's a large variety of maps in different locations, lots of armour, a green screen, automated turrets you can build, stuff like that. If it had playable Elites and a proper weapon-lowering function then it'd be used for machinima a great deal more than it is.
