Just to get things straight.

Destiny will be an open seamless world yeh? Like a normal mmo where we will choose what shard were on/realm/server whatever you want to call it? or have they gone Bethesda route and done 'mega server'? (which imo wouldn't be great, no pure pvp shards, or pve shards) wanna gank wit ma golden gun yo' but yeh, back to questions..is Destiny gonna be one giant world like a normal mmo? guilds, community etc heck even a bloody Auction house/ship/planet/capsule robot :S..because im getting a bit worried that this will just be a hop in someone else's game for a second kinda deal, not the community will always be there, 'This shard is full of players' kinda thing. Really put me off if it wasn't a MMO as in MASSIVELY multiplier online and was just a MOFPS. Any info, preferably from a WoW, Rift, SWTOR, GW, FFXIV (insert MMORPG) player please could you clear up my little confusion or unless you just know bout that stuff and understood when i said realm and shard, please help too.. Not trying to be an arse then btw. Cheers guys

    • I do not think it will be an MMO in the sense of the games you have listed. The way Bungie has described players being matched seamlessly always put me in mind of the way it worked in Journey. But long story short, no it will most likely not be a Massively multiplayer experience with shards/realms/servers. There might be moments that make you think otherwise like public events. There might even be social areas like the Tower, that will be bustling with player activity. There is certainly a reason why Bungie is calling it a shared world shooter and not embracing the term MMO.
