I'm saying you should be more clever with it. Anyone can get a few friends together and go assault some guy when he's alone. You need to make it something infinitely more clever and devious, something that is constantly weighing on his nerves and wracking his psyche with paranoia and nervousness. Psychological warfare is much more fulfilling, he can easily recover from the bruises and broken bones, some mental scarring will teach a much better lesson.
