I'm not gonna stick around tonight to discuss this, I've got to get up in about 5 hours, but I was scrolling through my Facebook, and I'm starting to notice all these posts, and sometimes I feel like there are a couple that I just "have" to like, out of some sort of unspoken obligation to those that own an account.
For example, if a girl updates her profile picture, there are many routes that it can go. The "Im so pretty look at me," or "Genuine family picture," but the kind you just HAVE to like are the "This is obviously a photo I took, but I didn't really do anything obnoxious about it, so what's there to really hate about the picture," and those are the sorts of things I just feel obligated to give a like.
In other news, I have more followers on here than I do on Twitter. Not quite sure what to think of that, but I'll figure it out....eventually.

My dad feels the need to like anything I post to facebook, probably out of guilt for his years of neglectful parenting. It's pretty annoying, actually. This is one reason I've stopped posting anything in Facebook, and people I went to high school with 10 years ago probably don't care what I have to say, anyway. This is one reason why Facebook was better when you needed a college email to join and wasn't filled with 40-something's posting stupid shit like "name a city without the letter A! I bet u can't!" *facedloor

Edited by BannedBacon: 12/1/2013 10:55:24 AMAnyone who like spams me, I block. Of course, it's been over a year since I last posted anything on there. And I don't like anything. If I do, it has to be extremely good. But girls posting photos like in OP's example? Lolno

Edited by Iberius Huskus: 12/1/2013 9:09:43 AMIf I do not genuinely like something, then I do not "like" it. I do not follow people, because I am not an ass kisser. No obligatory likes from me. If I like something, it's genuine.

For two years I had a girl like every one of my statuses. Never even talked to her through message or anything... but if I posted something, you bet she'd be one of the first to like it. Doesn't do it any more. Think she got a boyfriend.

I know what you mean to an extent. I don't like a lot of things unless it's from my best friend. But posts that are very relevant to someones life like family and emotional subjects (be it photo, text, share link, etc) get's an obligatory like from me.
