Wii U is trashed, 3DS makes the Vita and Shield look like a germ next to the 3DS. So Nintendo's doing OK

Agreed. The 3DS (well, their entire hand-held console line to be exact) are the crowning jewels of success for Nintendo, however they're bleeding money when it comes to the Wii U. It's only the 3DS that i keeping the losses from being catastrophic. They're operating in the red, and they have been for quite some time now.

They need it to come quickly... I really do hope it's a success for Nintendo as well. They're an important part of, and have a glowing contribution to, this industry that we all love. It won't be the same without a Nintendo in the game in some manner.
