• what fools like you seem to not understand is that the whole reason nintendo is still kicking is because they're able to bring out the fullest of every console they create games for, and are able to focus the full budget on the game itself. if Nintendo went multiplat, they would fall harder than the Jaguar, due to the giant degrade in quality from multiplat costs/licensing costs.

 • Sega's dreamcast failed because competing consoles (such as the ps2) were more popular and had more features. Sega then decided to become a software only company. Now here we are 2013 and Nintendo wiiU is struggling, do you honestly think they will make another console ? Nox has a good point about them being a strong hand held gaming company, but they need to give up making consoles. Any game that is sold over multiple platforms will make more money. So I think Nintendo should focus on games and hand held gaming, and stop making consoles after the wiiU .

 • Aaaaaaannnnnnnnd... Nintendo is failing even at that. They aren't selling systems... that's their whole problem. It's not that they're First party vs. Multi-plat, they aren't attracting anyone to their weak-ass system.

 • they are selling systems, just not at the rate that other consoles are, and they actually attracting people, 3.9 million people to be exact. it is not a weak ass system, all you've proven is that you're a biased angry little man who seems to hate anything from nintendo, and automatically assumes anything coming from them is automatically proof that they're a dying company..

You need some fresh air 2. I have 3 of their systems and many of their games. And if you actually read before you reply, I said I wanted Mario and Zelda for multiple platforms.

 • lol I'm not the one appearing angry here. If there were positive news to report about Nintendo, I would (and have in the past) report that with just a frequent pleasure. But there's no defending a system (or the company behind it) that is a failure even in their home market. Especially when that system is keeping them operating at a loss.

 • I mostly agree. I think they need to focus on software (games) and their hand-held console line. It has become remarkably apparent that they have lost touch in the in-home console market, and that they don't understand the lazier-faire manner in which the casual market (that they are banking on) buys new consoles.
