I still stick by my theory that, since Destiny will be Bungie's first game to include PlayStation, Bungie will need more time to make sure Destiny will be good for PS. I don't think there will be as many problems in Xbox beta since they've been making games for Xbox for 10 years.
I see the early access as a precaution.

That could make sense on the 360 but not on the One, it's a completely new platform.

Still, on the early PS beta they'll have to focus on 2 new consoles while later on with the X1 beta they'll have about half working on that new console with the other half keeping an eye on the PS consoles.

More likely, they are trying to gain favor with a unfamiliar consumer base (PS Nation). I would imagine a game which has this much time and love poured into it will be amazing on all platforms. In some ways you are fear mongering when using terms like precaution, a precaution to what? Playing an amazing game? common.

A precaution to make sure all the bugs are worked out. By beta they might have a good bit of bugs worked out but there are probably a handful of PS Alpha testers. Have you seen how GTA Online went for the first week? It's because they didn't prepare. If a bug pops up on PS and the same bug pops up on Xbox, it's going to take them less tine to fix the Xbox bug that it would the PS bug.

I didn't think of this. Nice one, man.
Honestly, even as a long time xbox fan, I haven't thought about the subject much because it just doesn't bother me.
That is a good way to think about it.
